By Liz Nakhla The GPO in Sydney opened on the 1st January 2000 from 10am to noon even though it was a public holiday. I arrived early and lined up to create my own souvenir covers . The postmarks were available in red and black ink. The celebrate 2000 stamps are holograms. As the stamps are moved the dates 1999 and 2000 appear. The stamps were issued on the 1st November 1999. |
