The $1.00 Stamp (Angel) is for posting Christmas cards overseas and the 45cent (Madonna and Child) can be used for cards posted within Australia. Only during November and December.

Icon painting originated in the Byzantine Empire in the 6th century. Icons are religious paintings usually of God, Virgin Mary, Jesus and the Saints.
