The postmark without the post office!

At the Sydney Stamp Expo 2005 state exhibition there was a postmark for both days without a functioning post office. Lionel Savins of Philas was designated an official agent of the GPO Sydney 2000 whose postcode it bore. Special ambulance covers were arranged for mail being posted through the mail system. Shown is the only registered item posted at the exhibition using the Prepaid Registered label (which is even catalogued as a “stamp” in the Australian Commonwealth Specialists Catalogue!). Bad luck if you wanted to buy stamps there though…
