On 21 March 2005 Australia Post introduced a range of 9 new prepaid products to launch this service in Australia
(2 envelopes, 4 satchels and 3 boxes).
What is entirely new is that there are 4 zones
(A = NZ, B = Asia/Pacific, C = USA/Canada/Middle East, D = rest of the world) and the postage is created by printing the label (“stamp”) and attaching it to the product when presented at the counter.
However costs are not cheap ranging from the minimum (small envelope zone A) being $30 to the largest box to zone D for a huge $375. Purchasing one of every combination would cost $3342.60!
Used examples of these however will not be generally available in Australia as they will all head overseas.
So examples of these “stamps” will be rare indeed.
